And who knows, next year me or Lanctharus or someone else might be in a totally different spot with regards to either Cap Stable or CSM Watch and we’ll spool it up again if there’s enough want for it and if someone hasn’t done it 10 times better than we have. Or if some new crop of folks in Alea Iacta Est start playing EVE and want to run with it, they can come talk to me and I’ll show them the ropes. I won’t easily forget any of the special and glorious mess that is the EVE community, and I’m not really going anywhere, so I don’t get to miss any of it.Īnd if I ever find the time and the motivation or if schedules start aligning again, and I have things to say, we’ll bring Cap Stable back again. I’m just basically a normal dude who listens to a little bit too much NPR and Fresh Air, and having members of the EVE community shoot me an EVE mail or send me a personal convo to tell me they are fans of the show - that has always been a mixture of mortifyingly embarrassing and extremely gratifying. I’ll say as the final thought that this whole Cap Stable endeavor has been incredibly humbling. There’s always more to say, and could go down half a dozen different roads and thoughts, but I think I’ll let that stand. Or maybe they have and I just live with blinders and haven’t been pointed in that direction, I was always bad about listening to other EVE podcasts. I’m shocked no one has done things better. Frankly, I always thought we were kind of by the seat of our pants and utterly amateur and slap-dash. I would hope others would pick up the mantle, so to speak, but I never saw us as a monopoly or anything on interviews. Now I’m in my early thirties and my life is dramatically different. When we respooled Cap Stable I was in my mid-twenties, hot and fresh from a hard break-up, and still working retail. The whole podcast is something that is going to go on hiatus, save the French language show, which has a life of it’s own and is going strong.įor my part Cap Stable and the interviews was something I did because it was fun at the time, but life sometimes catches you and moves forward. Really, prep would have begun in December, and I didn’t see any sign of life or work on the matter. An edited version of what I said is as follows:Ĭap Stable is not doing CSM interviews this year. It’s clear we weren’t spooled up or in a position to do interviews. I hadn’t been particularly active since, as it turns out, last year’s CSM interviews. Late last week, I stepped into into Cap Stable’s internal Slack server on a bit of a lark. The rest of this is going to be part apology, part explanation, but mostly the musings of someone who’s basically a private and fairly introverted EVE nerd. That right there should be enough for a good many of you, and will clear up much confusion. The French version is fine, the hosts like doing it and have a consistent schedule and it has it’s own legs that I don’t need to do anything with.
Also the English version of Cap Stable is going on indefinite hiatus. I have a message for folks that in my head I thought was already clear and public knowledge, but as it turns out was just a dumb assumption on my end.ĬSM Watch and Cap Stable aren’t doing interviews for CSM this year.
